Meet Maverick

Here is Maverick, pretending to be Paddington Bear. He lives in New Zealand with his family, Rick and Jen.

He loves exploring and making friends with other dogs as well as other humans. In fact, he sometimes thinks he is a human!

He's smart, loving and thoughtful. Jen got bad news one day and was in tears. Kind Maverick jumped up on her lap and showered her with doggy kisses to cheer her up.

What a champ!

Maverick loves Christmas and all the extra treats he gets.

Maverick tries to be useful and help Jen with her sewing ...

... but his favourite place is in bed with Jen's teddy bear!

Schnauzer

Book 1

The schnauzer came from Germany and helped protect farm animals and families.

They were a perfect size - small enough to fit in the farmer's cart but big enough to be a good guard dog.
