Lismore, a town in New South Wales, is built on a flood plain and has always had floods.

The highest flood on record was in 2022 when the flood level climbed to 14.4m.

With floods come the need for rescue as roads are covered, power is cut and supplies run low. The State Emergency Service (SES) are kept busy helping to rescue people from danger.
